The Search for Life's Purpose

Ein Mensch steht an einer Weggabelung seines Lebens
What is my Life's Purpose?

A Journey of Self-Discovery

Why am I on this Earth? What is the meaning of all this? Do I have a special task to fulfill in this world?" These questions are as old as humanity itself, yet they remain ever relevant. They reflect our deep need to find meaning in our existence and to recognize a purpose in our lives. Each of us has likely pondered these questions at some point—during quiet moments of reflection or in times of uncertainty and change

How Do I Find My Life's Purpose?

This question, which is so fundamental yet so difficult to answer, surely occupies many of us. It transcends everyday worries and touches on an existential point in our lives. After all, who among us would not be fascinated to discover the true reason for our existence? Knowing why we are here can not only provide us with direction but also give us a sense that our lives are meaningful.

But what exactly is life’s purpose, and what is it not? How can I, as a face reader, interpret a person's life purpose through face reading? With this blog article, I aim to delve into these questions.

The Life's Purpose: A Combination of Personality and Talents

Life's purpose is not a random concept that arises from external circumstances. Instead, it is the result of a deep connection between our personality, which we bring into this world from birth, and our innate talents. One can think of life's purpose as a kind of archetype. However, this archetype is not a rigid, unchangeable term. Rather, it is a flexible concept that can develop and unfold throughout our lives. The goal is not to find a single, definitive answer to what our life's purpose is, or to use a fixed term for it, but rather to discover a way to express our talents and personality in a manner that serves both ourselves and others. It is thus about how we implement it in daily life, not the title itself. The title is ultimately just a helpful construct.

Examples of Life’s Purposes:

  • Guardian Angel of Life: Someone with the talent for helping and healing.

  • The Reformer: "The Driving Agent of Change"—Someone who seeks to improve, alter, or even save existing systems.

  • Fighter for a Cause: Someone driven by a vision and passionately pursues it, refusing to be constrained by external expectations or societal norms.

  • Healer: Someone who is deeply committed to cultivating the health of the human mind and body.

  • Pathfinder: Someone who shows the way to others who are lost or stuck.

  • The Voice: Someone who lends their voice to those who cannot express themselves.

Identifying Life's Purpose in Face Reading

To determine a person's life purpose, I approach them with a neutral stance, free from preconceived notions, judgments, or biases. After analyzing all facial features and expressions during my preparation for a face reading, I draw conclusions about their personality and talents. At the end of this preparation, I decide which archetype best fits the analyzed personality and identified talents. I have a pool of nearly 60 different archetypes to choose from.

Of course, it might happen that at a table with five other face readers, only three agree with my assessment, while the other two might prefer a different archetype. However, as long as the evaluation of personality and talents is consistent, this is not problematic. Whether someone is seen as a Pathfinder or a Lighthouse makes little difference. Both archetypes have the task of guiding the way. While the Lighthouse is typically a more grounded, less mobile person in a professional sense, the Pathfinder is an active companion who often explores unknown paths to later advise others about them.

The Combination of Intuition, Personality, and Talents

Determining a person's life purpose is not based on a fixed method or the systematic connection of features, but rather on intuition and empathy. Reading the talents during face reading often serves as an entry point into understanding the life purpose. At this stage, it's better to move away from a purely analytical approach.

It is also challenging to define life’s purpose solely based on photos, as facial expressions and the way someone speaks and presents themselves play a crucial role. Therefore, I always approach a face reading with a selection of various similar archetypes, but I make the final decision only after experiencing the person's demeanor in person.

Life's Purpose as an Answer to Life

An often forgotten truth is that our life’s purpose is not the answer to our questions about life. Rather, it is our individual response to the questions that life poses to us. In this sense, life’s purpose is not a burden we must carry, but rather a source of relief, fulfillment, and inspiration.

When we act in harmony with ourselves and with the abilities and talents we are born with, we are already living our life’s purpose. Whether we explicitly name it or not is irrelevant. Life’s purpose is not something we must achieve in the future. Instead, we can live it right here and now by using our talents and abilities in an authentic way.

The Path to Life's Purpose: Why Reason and Analysis Alone Are Not Enough

Many people ask, "How do I find the profession or field that aligns with my life’s purpose?" This question is frequently posed to me, but the answer is not as straightforward as I would like. Life’s purpose cannot be found through analytical thinking or targeted searching. It is not a goal that can be reached through a step-by-step guide. Instead, finding life’s purpose requires a different approach: an intuitive, creative, and often unconscious path.

Life’s purpose does not present itself in an environment where we are goal-oriented and rational. It emerges in moments when we follow our interests and engage in activities that bring us joy. It is in these moments, when we are not searching for the "right" profession or the "suitable" activity, but are instead guided by our inner voice, that we discover topics and areas that fascinate us, light up our hearts, and ultimately become tools for living our life’s purpose.

The Role of Talents: Key to Life's Purpose

In the ancient Chinese face reading tradition, it is believed that our talents are given to us from birth to serve as a key with which we can decipher our life’s purpose. Face readers view these talents as tools that help us live out our life’s purpose. These talents are not coincidences; they are deeply embedded in our DNA and form part of our unique identity.

The question of why these talents are innate to us can be answered through the concept of life’s purpose in face reading. Our talents are not merely gifts that enable us to develop special abilities; they are also clues to the path we are meant to follow. They are signposts that help us find our place in the world and realize our full potential.

Authenticity as the Key to Happiness

The key to fulfilling one's life purpose lies in authenticity. When we succeed in living our personality as authentically as possible—even though this is not always easy and we often slip into roles expected of us—we are already on the right path. Authenticity means wanting to live our personality and freely and effortlessly express our true traits, as well as integrating our talents into our daily life.

Life becomes happier the more we use our talents and express our authentic selves. This requires courage and often a willingness to detach from societal expectations and norms to live what truly defines us. In this state of authenticity, the life’s purpose often reveals itself naturally. It comes to us without the need for active searching. It unveils itself in the moments when we are truly ourselves and unfold our true potential.

Conclusion:

Life’s purpose is not simply written on our face, which I can literally read during a face reading. Rather, it arises from the unique combination of our personality and talents.

The search for life’s purpose is not a goal that can be achieved through rational thinking or targeted searching. Instead, it is a process of self-realization characterized by authenticity, the use of our talents, and trust in our inner voice. It is not about reaching a fixed point at the end of a long journey, but about living our life’s purpose in the here and now. This is achieved by following our interests, letting joy guide us, and expressing our true self.

In this sense, life’s purpose is more than just a concept—it is a way of life. It describes how we shape our lives, use our talents, and bring our true self into the world. Through this path, we not only find our life’s purpose but also our happiness and fulfillment.
